Alex Bernardon
A born native of Maryland, his family relocated to Atlanta in 1998. His passion for landscape started at an early age when his dad took him to the Little League World Series, and he got to see “behind the scenes” of how the fields were being maintained.
In High School, Alex played baseball and received scholarship interest from multiple colleges, including one from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). Due to a career-ending injury, Alex was not able to pursue his baseball passion with ABAC but instead decided to pursue his other passion of Horticulture, where he received a degree in Ornamental Horticulture and Turf Management.
While attending ABAC, he worked at the University of Georgia (UGA) on their athletic fields. After graduating ABAC, Alex accepted a position at UGA, where he continued to learn and grow his passion for our industry. Eventually, he decided to take his passion and apply it to the residential and commercial maintenance part of our industry.
Starting his landscape career for a national landscape company, he soon realized the personal service and attention that he felt was important did not align with the “bigger” company’s vision. Instead, he decided to look for a growing company that was focused on customer service and quality instead of quantity and production.
In his off time, Alex enjoys competing in BBQ competitions, saltwater fishing, spending time with his wife Ashley, little league baseball with his son Turner and gymnastics with his daughter Finley.
